Ak-27

Identity & Webdesign

AK-27 is an online philosophical and political magazine focused around applying philosphical and sociological thought onto current affairs and politics. It is characterized by it's play between new and old, actual and virtual. AK-27 needs to standout, but nevertheless be unseen. This paradoxical stance was presented to us when the descisions about the website and logo were made, hence the solution we gave them.

Brand Identity structure

Colour Palette

These unusual for web and brand design colours were used in order to differentiate between AK-27 and the rest. The dark, earthy, and deep colouring made it possible that AK-27 refered back to the fact that it is about the exploration of the deep questions, which are usually not asked, nor answered by mainstream media.

Logotype

A custom version of the original (in gray) Century Schoolbook font was used in order to give it a more modern twist. This enabled the feeling of a dance between modern and old-school - precisely what AK-27 is all about.
